//e £" Z Start Work on Site For New Industry Heavy earth moving equipment went to work in the north Hillcrest area tihis morning as Colt Contracting of Scarborough, general contractors for the new Superior Electric building commenced site preparation and excavating. On the job were two bulldozers and the same number of heavy earth movers as the «ite was being cleared of sod in preparation for actual excavation. The contract calls for construction of a building with approximately 34,000 square feet with a fall completion date being aimed at. The construction contract is for close to $500,000. Superior Electric, with Canadian sales offices in Toronto and headquarters in the United States are manufacturers off precision type electric motors for use in highly mechanized production plants and other uses demanding high precision motors. The new plant is being constructed on a 96-acre site north of Adam Street and immediately south of 401 highway. A skeleton road already leads into the property. This will be rebuilt and widened. Stakes marking the route for hydro, water and other services are in with construction of the services' expected to commence soon.
