"We were asked a lot of questions about Canada in our interviews and the selections were made to find people who would be adaptable to group travel as well as having a wide range of interests." he said. "My wife has really been behind me although she said she was a bit wor- ried about the flying to Brazil." The Rotary Foundation picks up the travel ex- penses with Cox's only per- sonal commitment being money for his own use for souvenirs or side trips. The languaoe of Brazil is Por- tuguese with Cox saying the group has purchased books on the language with some of the members enrolling in night school classes. Locally classes aren't available with Cox adding he is looking for records and such to help him bone up on the language.
