The couple were married Dec. 28, 1931, in the United Church, Saskatoon, Sask., by the Rev. A.E. Chester. The Grenkes made their first home in Camp Borden un- til the beginning of the Second World War, when they mov- ed to Barne. After many postings across Canada, their final move brought them to Trenton Air Base in 1952 Mr Grenke retired from the service in 1957 with the rank of W01, but rejoined the service as a civil servant at the Trenton Air Base for 10 more years. In the meantime, they made their home in Belleville and have resided here ever since. Mr. Grenke also worked part-time as a projec- tionist at the Belleville Drive-in and downtown theatres for many years. The couple have two daughters, Mrs. Lynn Attwell of Crankbrook, B.C., and Mrs. Dawn Leppinen of Sudbury Ont, both of whom travelled to Belleville for their parents' anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Grenke also have four grandchildren. They have been members of the Victoria Avenue Bap- tist Church since moving to the community. A reception for family and friends was held at the Four Seasons Hotel, followed by a family dinner at the hotel Many congratulations were received, including a ola- oue presented at the dinner by Hugh O'Neil, MPP for Quinte, on behalf of the orovincial government, and messages from Governor General Ed Schreyer, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and Joe Clark, leader of the op- position. c*'
