She has gone on to hold every Canadian record in the Blind Masters Division in the 3,000 and 100-metre dash, the long jump, discus, javelin and shot put. Thompson is a 10-time Canadi- an champion and has won gold medals in power lifting champi- onships around the world. P r i n c e Edward -Has t - ings MPP Ernie Parsons praised her at Queen's Park Monday, rising in the leg- islature, to chronicle her achievements. "I don't do it for praise or glory. I do it for Sarah Thompson myself," Thompson said. She was joined at the presenta- tion by husband Harold and for- mer area MPP Doug Rollins. Thompson was inducted to the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame in 1987.
