Mr. Ticktin, who says he now is of no fixed address, was in Belleville Monday visiting friends and promoting sales of his first book of poetry. The Cookie Jar. The book now is on sale at the Country Store in RednersviUe and James Texts Ltd., 183 Front St. And he's not the only local talent involved in production of the book, printed in Belle- ville. Warren Thomson, a graphic arts instructor at Loy- alist College, was production co-ordinator. Donna Guilfoyle, an artist at Quinte Advertising Agency Ltd., and and at one time a student at Loyalist College, contributed illustrations for the book of 16 poems. Mr. Ticketm, now 30, practiced law in Belleville af- ter graduating from university in London in 1972. After almost two years in Belleville he dealt in criminal law and later moved to Toronto. He gave nip law, he said, because he disliked the hosti- lity.
