Mother and Son Both Become &JU.1'>*U~- 3/As^ x,Bachelors--of Arts-Same Year They didn't graduate from the same college but a Belle- ville mother and son this year have received their Bachelor of Arts degrees from Ontario uni- versities. They are Mrs. Arthur G. Tooth, 88 Selina Ave., former Belleville public school teach- er, and her son, John Tooth, now working in passenger sales with the Canadian National in Belleville. Mrs. Tooth receiv- ed her arts degree from Queen's, while her son attend- ed the University of Western Ontario at London, Mrs. Tooth taught public school until five years ago, then commenced extension courses toward her degree. During her final year she attended full time at Queen's. The former Belleville teach- er hasn't made up her mind about the line of work she will follow now that she has her B.A. degree, but according to her husband, an engineer with Northern Electric, she "fully intends to put it to some good use." Mrs. Tooth says she is try- ing to decide whether to go back teaching or to continue in post graduate work. "But I would really like to do something for the children," she says. Her son, however, is through with studies, at least for the time being, and after two years of summer work with CN is n o w permanently employed with the railway. MRS. ARTHUR G. TOOTH
