Funeral set^ for former" vice-president Funeral service for George C. (Mickey) MacDonald, a retired distillery manager and vice- president of Corby Distilleries Ltd., will be held Friday. Mr. MacDonald, 78, who was with Corby's all his working life, died Tuesday at Belleville General Hospital. Born in Belleville, he started work at the Corbyville distillery in 1926, and worked in various areas of the operation. In 1963 he became manager, succeeding Wilf Laporte. Mr. MacDonald was appointed a vice- president and member of the Corby board in 1969. He retired in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Vera, and children Joan Gibb, of Oakville, and George and daughter-in-law Ruth MacDonald, Brampton. Mr. Mac- Donald also leaves a brother, James, of Belleville, and sisters Bess Crawford, Lena Carson and Laura Markle, all of Belleville, and Helen Beebee, of Kingston. The funeral service is at 1 p.m. Fri- day at the W.J. Thompson Chapel, 38 Everett St. m?. '
