JACK BRADFORD Bradford new vp for Ontario's ... . credit service «* Belleville resident Jack Bradford was elected vice-president of the On- tario Association of Credit Counsell- ing Services. Bradford has also served on the Quinte Region Credit Counselling Service board for the past four years, where he is currently vice-president. The former Belleville alderman has many years of financial ex- perience, including 22 years as a staff member for Associates Capital Cor- poration. At the time of his retire- ment several years ago, Bradford was senior vice-president of the com- pany. "I saw credit counselling grow up in Ontario, and I've seen it work," says Bradford. The objectives of the provincial association, which formed in 1970, in- clude the sharing of information bet- ween member credit counselling agencies. The association also assists with training programs for credit counselling staff, co-ordinates public education programs, and strives to develop and maintain good relation- ships with governments, co-operative agencies and associations that sup- port credit counselling. Bradford says his new position will likely "focus more attention on the work of Quinte credit counselling and the values of the service." The provincial board includes regional vice-presidents, and in his two-year position, Bradford will act as vice-president "at large"-co- ordinating the work of the regional vice-presidents.
