The film itself, only 1,000 of an inch thick, can be adapted for almost any purpose because of its versatility and tensile strength.' One of the major markets for the product is the packaging industry. By selling its Ktyfton liilm to major Canadian film converters, the film is adapted to serve the market. For the meat and cheese packaging industries the nylon film is coated with polyethylene and then used by companies such as S w i f t s , Schneiders and Maple Leaf to vacuum pack their foods. The product is not limited to food packaging as it can be adapted for other needs. It is also used in carpets, tire cords, and other diverse articles as dress faibries,. Instead of being coated with polyethylene it can be metalized, thus increasing its strength even more.
