In the winter, Betty likes cross-country skiing. Brenda Dunning Brenda is responsible for the ladies and teens casual shoes, tender tootsies, and ladies slippers. She started in March of 1974. Her husband Frank works as a bookkeeper and the Dunnings have one child, Peggy. Brenda likes to sew. Marlene Power Marlene has been working at the Ski-Den for two years. She started on a work-experience plan offered by Quinte Secondary School. In her leisure time, Marlene likes to crosscountry ski, play tennis and listen to music. Most use more than one pair A b i l l i o n p a i r s of footwear a year - that's what the American public uses. That's an average of five pairs for every man, woman and child. It includes all types of footwear - shoes, boots, canvas, slippers, both domestic and imported. It's by far the highest per capitia usage of any nation in the world. It differs of course, by types of customers. Women, for example, wear out about six pairs yearly, children about seven, and men three. However, active people have even higher usage. If we eliminate some 20 million people over the age of 65, plus millions of others who are otherwise inactive, the per capita usage goes much higher.
