Rationing in war years sent grocery patrons mtoashopping frenzy ( Atkinson at Loblaws the day it moved off Front Street This photograph shows Dave Reid and Murray Atkinson in Murray's Foodmaster at 290 Front St. in Belleville in the early 1970s. Atkinson starting worked at the Loblaws store on Front Street on Saturdays as a youngster and eventually became manager of the business. When it moved from Front Street around 1970 Atkinson opened his own business in Loblaws' former location.
