Just the facts £T s. x ZCL Fiberglass located on Jamieson Bone Road in Belleville manufactures underground petroleum storage tanks made of reinforced fiberglass -- the kind found underneath service stations. The Belleville plant opened its doors in 1977 as Enviroglas. From 1983 until the beginning of 1994, it was operated by CAE Fiberglass Ltd. ZCL purchased the 45,000-square-foot opera- tion in January of 1994. It now employs 40 people who do everything from manufacture tanks to sell them. The Belleville plant, along with its manufacturing plants in Edmonton and Drummondville, Que., produce some 4,000 underground storage tanks annually. Its parent company, ZCL Composites Inc. of Edmonton, is slowly branching into aboveground products, such as fiberglass decks and architectural mouldings.
