I i Former county warden buried in Picfont^ PICTON - Funeral services were held here Monday for former Prince Edward Coun- ty warden Clinton Green of Salmon Point, who died at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital last weekend. He was 72. Green served as county warden in 1953 and in 1957 was the Liberal party's can- didate in the federal elections in this riding. He was a member of Athol township council for 10 years, serving as reeve for five years. He was Athors represen- tative to the Prince Edward Region Conservation Authori- ty at the time of its organiza- tion, more than a decade ago and served as a member of the county's land severance committee. A past president of the Prince Edward Federation of Agriculture, Green was a lifelong resident of the Salmon Point community. He farmed in Athol for many years but was retired at the time of his death. Green is survived by his wife, the former Rita Huycke and sons Ronald of Toronto, Glendon of Salmon Point and Larry of Chatham. An Odd Fellows lodge ser- vice was held Sunday night, in memory of Green who had been a member of the organization for 30 years. Funeral services were held here today with the Reverend Stephen Spurrell of Cherry Valley United Church of- ficiating. t : •
