Funeral for top musician on Thursday Visitation for long-time promi- nent Belleville musician Jack Green continues today at the Burke Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Green, who died Monday in Hastings Manor at the age of 94, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Salvation Army Citadel, Vic- toria Avenue and Lingham Street. Bandmaster for the local Salvation Army and wind instru- ment instructor for almost 60 years, Mr. Green came to Belleville from his native Wales at the age of 33. Mr. Green was recipient of the highest honor the Salvation Ar- my can bestow, the Order of the Founder. A former Belleville resident and now a retired head of the in- ternational Salvation Army, Gen. Arnold Brown, will give the main message for the funeral service. Mr. Green is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Glenys) Reid, Peterborough and Mrs. Alan (Dorothy) Aust in, Belleville; grandchildren Linda Hope, Brenda Woodley, Rick Austin, Ron Reid, eight great grandchildren; and, in England, two brothers, George and Hubert, and one sister, Jennie.
