Congratulations for Grose also came in the form of letters from Prime Minister Jean Chretien, Prince Edward-Hastings MP Lyle Vanclief and Oshawa MP and nephew Ivan Grose. She received her nurse's training at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia, Ont., worked briefly at Belleville General, and had a long-term partnership with former Belleville physician Dr. Sam Cronk. Grose, who retired approximately 25 years ago, enjoyed the tribute, which she followed by cutting her birthday cake.
