Thompson of Wellington as a Prince Ed- ward County coroner has been accepted by the Ontario Gov- ernment, in keeping with an amendment to the Coroner's Act that coroners retire at the age of seventy. Dr. Thompson had applied for retirement prior to this ruling. This leaves only Dr. C. R. Richmond as a coroner residing in the county but two Belle- ville doctors serve Ameliasburgj Township. Through desiring to take| things a bit easier, Dr. Tho-mp son continues to lead a busy life as the village's only doc^ tor. Graduating in 1924, he hasj practised in Wellington for 391 years, since 1927. He has also been coroner iod. during that
