His posting to the east is almost like a return to old haunts for Mr. Varney. Be- fore joining AOCO as sales representative for Cool-Ray Polaroid sunglasses in Oct. 1966, Mr. Varney worked in Malaysia, Singapore and Siam In Feb. 1968 he was appoint- ed to the position he held until his Hong Kong posting. His new duties, commenc- ing Dec. 1, will be to market AOCO sunglasses throughout Southeast Asia. Born in Buckinghamshire, England, he has a wife, Mag- gie, and children Alan, 9, S ~ { Timothy, IfT' and Susan, 3. Effective Nov. 1, Paul Ken- nedy will replace Mr. Varney as manager of the Cool-Ray Polaroid Division. A native of Belleville, Mr. Kennedy is a graduate in business administration from Ryerson Institute of Technol- ogy. Mr. Kennedy joined AOCO Ltd. in March 1965 as a sales representative for the sun- glass division, located in To- ronto until June of 1967 when he was transferred to Van- couver as sales representative for both the Ophthalmic and Sunglass Divisions in B.C.
