Mr. Vaughan died Friday following a brief illness at Belleville General Hospital. A city resident since 1939, Mr. Vaughan was the manager of Keyes Supply Co. Ltd. until the business was assumed by the family and became, Vaughan Automo- tive and Appliances Ltd. He resided at 217 Bridge St. East, Apt. 207. Born in Richmond, Ont., Mr. Vaughan was the son of the late Charles and Mary Vaughan and the husband of the former Helen Rose Gor- man of Richmond. Mr. Vaughan was a former member of Christ Church and prior to his death, St. Margaret's-on-the-Hill. He was also a life member of Delhousie Lodge, Ottawa; life member, Eureka Blue Lodge and Moira Chapter; Past First Principal King Baldwin Preceptory; Past Grand Superintendent, Em- mas Temple, Hamilton; a member of the Red Cross of Constantine; Past Preceptor Sovereign Great Priory of C a n a d a ; m e m b e r o f Rameses Temple, and the Belleville Shrine Club; and a life delegate and honorary member of Grand Chapter of Maine, U.S. The Eureka Masonic Lodge 283 will hold a memorial ser- vice Sunday 7 p.m. Mr. Vaughan is survived by c h i l d r e n , W i l l i a m E . Vaughan, Belleville; Bar- bara Spafford, Belleville; Mrs. T.R. (Norma) Canden, Peterborough; Dr. Robert L. Vaughan, and C. Gordon Vaughan, both of Belleville. He is also survived by grand- children, Gord and Kathy Spafford, Belleville; Steve, Peter, Sally and Jeff Canden of Peterborough; Teri Lee, Lisa, Bradley and Tania Vaughan of Belleville. Also surviving are daughters-in- law, Lois and Joan. He is survived by one brother, Fred Vaughan of Woodbury, N.J. He was predeceased by three brothers, Rev. A l f r e d Vaughan, Herb Vaughan, An- drew Vaughan; and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Beardsley, Mrs. Mildred Beardsley and Mrs. Eva Bennett. The funeral w(ill be con- ducted by Canon R.B. De Blois Wright assisted by Rev. Virgil F. Earle at 11 a.m. Monday. >°j
