Economist honored The memory of a Canadian home economist, widely-known in the Quinte district where she lived many years, is being honored by area colleagues. Dorothy Batchelor McKinnon, a national per- sonality in home economics-she was a life member /vjof the Canadian Home Economics Association-died n a year ago. \ Now, the Quinte Home Economics Association ^nas instituted a lecture in her name, city council ^ was told by the organization Tuesday. K Emanuel Farber, chairman of University of J Toronto's pathology department, will deliver the jT first Lecture June 11 at Centennial Secondary ' School Auditorium, starting at 7.30 p.m. v It's also a move toward the association's goal of ^ providing information to Quinte area families and W individuals. ^ Prof. Farber's lecture will view the developing J perspective of nutrition and cancer.
