The villiage was shocked on Monday when he news of the sudden death of Mrs. Samuel Fleming, Albert st. spread abroad. For the past year or so her

dead. Mr. and Mrs. Fleming were among the earliest settlers in this community. They came from Derby Tp to the _ concession Elderslie, and a few years later went to Ellengown where for many years they conducted the hotel, afterwards retiring and settling in Paisley. They had no children. The sympathy of all goes out to Mr. Fleming who at his advanced age is left bereaved of his life's partner. The funeral took yesterday to Stark Vale Cemetery, Rev J.A. Bloodsworth conducting the obsequies.
