August Gateman Passes
The death occured on Thursday, June 14th at Mrs. George Locking's nursing home in Hanover of August Gateman. as the result of several strokes. He had been ill there for the previous two months. He is survived by his wife, who resides in Hanover, a brother, Ernest, of Brant township and one sister Mrs. Henry Sickel, also of Brant Mr. Gateman spent the greater part of his life farming in Brant Township, until two years ago when he and Mrs. Gateman moved to Hanover. He was 67 years of age and was a member of the Lutheran church. The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Mr. Sterz conducting the service.
