Glinz, Ralph (Died)

Burned to Death.
The circumstances surrounding the death of Ralph, son of Mr. Isaac Glinz, are particularly sad. The little fellow and his brother were got ready for bed on Tuesday evening after which Mrs. Glinz went out to the stable to milk. She had been out but a few minutes when the elder boy came out screaming. Dropping everything she ran to see what was wrong. What was her horror to be met at the door by the second boy enveloped in flames. Seizing him quickly she rolled him in snow. This put out the fire but alas, the lower part of the boy's body was so badly burned that he died in about eleven hours. The house had a narrow escape and nothing but the prompt assistance of neighbors saved it from destruction. Mr. Glinz was at Mr. D. Smith's when the sad event happened. The fire was caused by lightning matches.
Glinz.-In Carrick. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, Ralph, son of Isaac and Elizabeth Glinz aged 3 years and 8 months.
