Gunder, Mrs. John (Died)

The death of Mrs. John Gunder, a native born Brant girl, and whose obituary appears in this issue, recalls a series of marriages in rapid succession over two score years ago in well known Brant homes that for exchanging of sisters in the clan is rather singular for these parts. Here is the program committee of eight, representing a trio of homes, prepared and adopted. Charles Pegelo married Miss Lizzie Liefso, Charles Liefso wedded Miss Lizzie Pegalo, John Gunder courted and claimed Miss Minnie Pegalo and Fred Pegalo wooed and wed Miss Lizzie Gunder, all of which goes to show with what tact the lads and lassies picked their partners from within the family fold. However, links have been severed in the once cordial chain forming the circle strangely enough, both the erstwhile Pegalo girls have been taken from the ranks by the hand of death.
