Mr. J.D. Hergott of town received word last week of the passing of his brother, Mr. Frank Hergott, who succumbed on Monday at Butte, Montana, at the age of 56 years. Deceased, who was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hergott of Riversdale, was born on a farm on the Elora Road. Carrick, about two miles north of Formosa, and as a youth learned blacksmithing with Mr. Jos. Massel at Chepstow.

Deceased is survived by three brothers and three sisters as follows: Jacob D. of Walkerton, William of Edmonton. John of Colorado, (Margaret) Mrs. Robt. Lockridge and (Mary) Mrs. John Lockridge, both of Wingham, and (Barbara) Mrs. Ambrose Benninger of Tisdale, Sask. The funeral took place last week at Butte, Mon.
