DANGEROUS INTERSECTION PROMPTS LETTER TO COUNCIL A dangerous traffic situation in the area North of-Rossi1 and Road at Garrard Road has prompted a letter to council from residents of the area. 91 SIGNATURES The letter which arrived at town hall with 91 signatures, pointed out to town fathers th at whi le there is a danger to m an y students frorn south of Ross'lard Road cros sing the intersection, and w h i i e- t he opportun ity to cross at the i n t ersection have recently increased with the addi tion of a new grocery store, there i s no adul t cross ing guard assigned to the intersection for the protection of pedestrians. It was ai s o pointed out that monies for the erection of safety measures on demand, are available especially since the cancellation of plans for sidewalks in the area. R os sl1and Road, now a busy 4-1lane highway, has been the site of increasing traffic fatal ities over the past few years. Counc il's operation committee and the Director of Public WNorks wili en- deavour to discover a solution for the unsafe traffic situation.
