Col bourne-Blair Gibson of Whitby won the Most Valuable Player Award in a Pee Wee Tournament he 1 d he r e on Saturday. Gibson played brilliant hockey in ail four games and lead his team to vic- tory and the Championship Trophy. The Whitby team was made up of players from the Brooklin-Whitby Pee Wee House League. Win- ning the tournament was attributed to a complete team effort by all 16 players. PEE WEES SHUT OUT MARKHAM Lead by Bill Bridge with 3 goals, the Lasco Steel P e e Wee Ail Stars romped to an easy vic- tory over Markham to the tune of 12-0. Bi1 lly Morrison and John Pari sh shared the net- minding duties for Whitby to record the shutout. Other scorers for Whitby were Joel Gamgemi and Dave Wil1 liamson, each with a fine pair of goal s. Danny Kemp, Dave Stocks, Ken Reinhardt, Marty Gallas and Lloyd Connor each recorded sin- gles. GALE LUMBER DEFEAT STOUFFVILLE A s o I id team effort and excellent goal tending by Tom Connelly and Bob Ouelette led the Brook- lin-WhitbyGaleLumber Midget AlI-Stars to a 7-0 victory over Stouffville. Whitby goals were divided evenly as the follow- ing players each scored single marks: Gary Sel- leck, Terry Wilson, Fred Hopkins, Dave Parish, Harry Forbes, Paul McClelland and Doug Lay. Gilbert Neuwenoyke, Butch Galley and David Fiem- ming all had si ngles for the winners. Richard Goodfellow got the only goal for Oshawa. Marcel B e langer, Gary Sherban and Rick Brinkley each had singles for the losing Oshawa squad. BAY RIOGES WHOLLOP WIHITBY 19-O! I n a game lead by Warren Court with 4 goals, and 3 a s sists, Bay Ridges completely outplayed Whitby Mite All-Stars by defeating them 19-0. The Bay Ri dges team is very wellcoached, and t h e y play hockey as well as any team in this area. Whitby watchers report that the team very seldom get out of position and are a real pleasure to watch.
