Boys in theoldtownwill register at the Leg- ion on Byron Street South; in Brooklîin at the Memorial Arena, in the Garrard Road area at Westminster United Church o n M a n ning Road, and in the Almonds area at 15 Almonds Avenue. Because the signature of a parent is requiredfor registration, it is sugges- ted that if possible, parents accompany their boys, thus el iminating the need for taking the form home to have it signed. The season really didn't start until the middl e ofJanuary, but the late spring has more thanmadeupfor the late start. Ski ing w as go o d at Oshawa Ski Club right up until lastweekendwhen the bare spots final ly started to show on some of the hills. AI t h o u gh the season lasted almost three weeks longer than previous years, not too many skiers took advantage of i t , and the few Southern Ontario res- o r t s that were still running up to last w e e k e n d saw few skiers enjoying the last of the snow.
