The familiar Station was jam-packed with social- ites and art patrons, colorfully dressed for the oc- casion. It was also a night for avant-garde fashions and *display of culinary art at its best. Guests started to arrive shortly after six o' dlock and stayed 'titI early hours in the morn- ing. The fund raising campaigil was highlighted by Peter Van Cils art exhibition in the upper level of the Station. The bearded artist,* of Dutch descent, was present to supply comnientary and artistic up- to-date information on his latest works. White the artist cajoled with his self-appointed critics, the guests mingled about the Station in high (sometimes hic) spirits. A number of local politicians showed up for the gastro-artistic event, complewe with alcoholic beverages. There were also visitors from out-of-town, in- cluding a number of artists from Toronto.
