His driver's license was suspended for one year. He pleaded guilty to the charge. "lt seems unfortunate that you were driving in such a manner and had the misfortune to have 'your car roll over. It was the way in which the car was driven that you rolled the car over. It was your driving, there could have been injuries done to others on the Highway with this type of driving and that is what we must think about," said Provincial Court Judge H. W. Jermnyn. Robert E. Benns, 18, of 505 Anderson Street, Whitby, was fined $25. or 10 days in jail on a charge of trespassing. He was given 14 days in which to pay his fine. Mr. Benns plead- ed guilty to the charge. Police patrolling in the Pickering Township area saw a Volks- wagen parked on the property of the Highland Creek Sand and Gravel Company located on the Third Concession, Pickering Township. The property is fenced and there are signs posted on the property stating "No Trespassing." Charged with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millimetres of blood, Walter Therrien, 27, of 31 Bruce Street, Oshawa, was fined $200. or 20 days in jail. There was a mandatory suspension of the driver's license for six moniths as the accused was involved in an accident. He pleaded guilty to the charge. Daniel Robert Carter, 24, of York Milîs Road, Toronto, was fined $300. or 20 days in jail and his driver's license was suspended for one year on the charge of failing to give a sample of his breath, for a breath test. He pleaded guilty to the charge of failing to give and refusing to comply with the request for a breath sample.* "lt is possible for you to go to jail when an Offîcer asks for a breath sample and one refuses to co - operate," Provincial Court Judge Jermyn said. "The Crown is asking for a jail sentence. 1 think the Crown is perfectly right to ask for a jail term and a prohibition of the driver's license," "'You must look to the future. You have grandparents who are willing to take you if you are villing to go with them," Judge Jermyn told David Allen Cunnîng, 17, of no f ixed address. The youth appeared in Court on the charge of being in possession of stolen goods. He pleaded guilty to the charge. On learning that the youth's parents are both dead and that he has grandiparents residing in Collingwood and willing to take the youth Judge Jermyn, as he regarded the young lad with sympathy, said there would be a conditional discharge in 12 months if young Cunning observed the conditions of the Court for the next 12 months.
