Santa Claus wili arrive at the Witby Malil, on Saturday, December lst via Aston Hel- icopter. The old gentleman, beloved by children the world over, is being brought to town through the courtesy of the Whitby< Malil Retail Merghants' Association. Permission to land the helicopter on Mai property was generously gra- nted by the property owner, Anthony Land. "I'm oniy pleased to aiow the helicop- ter to brîng Santa Claus here,," Mr. Land informed the Free Press. He said he thought was an excellent idea and paid tribute to the WRMA for sponsoring the event. Santta "iI arrive at the Mail, Dec. Ist, and he won't be alone. For this special occasion, he is bringing a very 'Special' guest who every- one, regardless of age, wili want to meet. More details of the identification of this 'Very Important Person' wii be disciosed in the Free Press in Nov. 29th issue.. Time of arrivai wilI aiso be provid- ed at that time. HALL TOURS On Tuesday November 6th, members of the Brookiin Baptist Church visited the W.F.D. Headquarters at 201 Brock Street South. A group of 10 girls were shown around the apparatus floor. Each unit was explained to the group in relation to its equipment location and the function of each vehicle at a fire. On Thursday evening, a group of Girl Guides were present at Hall No. 3 working on their Fire Badge.
