'Mhe 21 chiidren, super- vised by teacher Ian Cooke and a parent, Mrs. Marion lrwin, were chosen from al the Grade seven classes. according to their enthusiasm for history. "Living-mn" at Sainte- Marie involves simulating l7th-century life by prepar- ing meals in the cookhousc fireplace and the hot-coal oven and sleeping on wooden cots in buildings hcated only by fireplaces.
