PAGE Q, WEDNESDAY, APRI L 9, 1975# WHITBY FREE PRESS Br~kin There's a piece of poetry that goes 'Oh, to be in England now that April's there' and, at the end of last week I guess that most of us were wishing that we were anywhere but in Ontar *io in April '75! That is unless you owned'a skidoo or skis! Let's hope- that it was winter's swan song and that from now on we have only blue sunny skies and warm winds to get rid of the white stuff. It'threw a wrench in the works for Dr. Watt and his auction. He sends his apolo- gies, especially to those stalwarts who braved the elements and turned up at the Community Centre ail set to make some bids. Ail being well, he will be here on the l9th April with the same consigniments planned for Iast Saturday. So remark your calendars. From time to time I do make my own mistakes. Unfortunately from time to time I also get the wrong infor- mation. This has happened- twice in the last few weeks. Tc those of ýyou that went down to Whitby 'Arts to see the works of local artist Jim Paget during March, I do apologize but I was mlsinformed. Jim was very surprised that hie was exhibiting then as lie hadn't planned a showing until April! So if you are stiil keen, lie Is showing this month and I do hope that you make it. By now, also, most of you are probably wondering about the mix Up on the date 'for the N.C.W.A. meeting which I was told was sclieduled for Tuesday, April 8th. 0f course it is a littie late now, but the real date was Wednesday, April 9th. If so wouldyou be willing to let the Fair Board use the negatives for prints, to help in publicity for this year's event. If you can help, then, eall Murray Robertson, 655-3831. I cannot finish this week without expressing my deep regret, and I'm sure the regret of many in the North Ward, regarding the action taken by Councillor Don Lovelock.-- Don't get me wrong. I understand how he mnust have feit, and knowing Don I'm sure that lie was positive that it was the onlv course open to him.
