Many people lnvolved themselves in the several events happening throughout Whitby. The bike rally, which took place on Sunday, August 3, started- In the ramn but successfully finished with the ,in shining. In the mornlng rally the overail w inner was K<en Gra- hami of die Intermiediate divi- sion. l He won the Whltby Tire Trophy, whlch was presented by Mike Moyer, a senior representative of the company. Mayor Des New- man was also there to presentý trophies to the rest of the winners. The class division winner in the Junior division was Dave McAneney with a tirne of 1 hour, 23 minutes and 31 seconds. In the intermed- late division Chris Elliot carne in first with a time of 1 hour, 38 minutes and 18 seconds. Senior division winner was Bob Pebbles with a time of 1 hour, 30 minutes and 20 seconds. The Bike and Trike decor- ating contest, which was held ln the BuildaIl parking lot was won by April McKeown followed by, Troy Vander- wyst. The junior division of the afternoon sprint race was won by Jessie James followed by Harry Berkers. Wexford advanced ta the final by blanking Chinqa- cousy 2-0 on goals by Paul Langan and Duncan Slater as Ron Wlton picked up the shutout. Whitby made it ta the playdown with a 4-3 victozy over Oshawa Kiwanis. War- ren Subject scored twice and Paul Vanderkalf and Scott Lintner added singles for the winners. Anthony Vandevos- senberg, with two, and Robert Danieli replied for the lasers. The final gaine featured a goaltending duel with Waxford's R. England besting Whtby's David Blacquiere. C. Tamnburra and J. Schuit scored for thie winners.
