The date is Septe mber 18th; the place is the Municipal Building on Dundas Street; and. the usual starting time is 7:30 p.m. Be there and support your association. The high-rise issue has been pretty dormant over the summer months, but a recent news story indicates that it is due to return to the forefront. To bring you up to date, the Town refused, about six weeks ago, to issue the developer a building permit citing a number of areas where the proposed development did not meet the requirements of, the building by'-Iaws. The devel- oper in turn appealed to the courts to force the Town to issue the building permit. The court deferred hearing the issue until late September or early October. On Mon day, August llth, the Town specified the in- provements required of the developer before he could be issued the building permit and gave him 90 days to make the improvements.
