THURSDAY In Thursday evening's hiome game againsi the Lindsay Lancers the Warriors1 xvent ahead only once-when Ed Philpott relayed a beautiful set up from Mike Noonan past goaltender Bruce Jackson after only 38 seconds of sudden-death over- time to give the hosis a 4-3 -vic tory. Gary Milroy's goal, assisted by Flowie Menard and Gord McCosh, at 18:25 of the third period had forced the game into overtinle. George Corneil, on an assist frorn Erin Fostey, had given the Lancers a 3-2 lead at 7:49 of the final stanza. Lindsay got off on the right foot as Erin Fostey con- verted passes froin Paul Grills and Bob Taylor at 5:59 of the first period. 1 The lead was shortlived however as Whitby's Gary Milroy set up Hosvie Menard for the tying goal less than two minutes later:, Paul Grîis restored the Lancer's one-goal lead with a tally at 17:28 of the opening stanza. Jeff Stuart and Bob Taylor picked up assists. Lindsay's 2-1 marp-in held Up until 19: 11 of the second period when the Warriors' Mike Keenan, after receiving passes frorn Bill Lastic and Nick Holmes found the net. The Warriors fired 45 shots at Bruce Jackson while the Lancers countered with 32 on Dave Boyarski. FRIDAY The Warîiors were ham- mered 12-3 by the Terriers in Friday's contest in Orillia. Bob Kane scored three for the,winners, Stan Gross, Dave McCullough and Jim MacPher- son two each and Bob Clayton, Ron Fýbbette and Scott Mabley one each. Mike Keenan, Gary Milroy and Ed Taylor replied for the Warriors who were outshot 43-38. The Warriors play host to the league-leading Barrie Flyers on Thursday. The garne starts at 8:30 p.m. at Iroquois Park Arena.
