SQUIRTS Play in the squirt division got underway recently. Each of the six teans has played one game. The Gulls, Wrens and Sparrows. are tied for first place with one win each while the Larks, Robins and Owls, defeated by the former three respectively, are in last place, Neil Muschette and Albert Curtis each fired hattricks as the Wrens downed the Robins. 6-4. Kelly O'Connor and Walter Borg split the losers'1 scoring. Despite a three-goal per- formance by Scott Heman, the Owls dropped a narrow 4-3 verdict to the Sparrows who got goals by Harold Hess, Sandy Conley, Scott thomp- son and Scott McLaughlin. Billy Omaro scored six goals to lead the Gulls to an 8-1 victory over the Larks. Gary Mark scored a pair for the winners while Greg Dewitt replied for the losers. NOVICE lvan's Hairstyling sits atop the novice division with 17 points on eight wins, one tie and three losses. C.B. Foster and Sons follows close behind with 15 points on seven wins, one tic and four losses. Brooklin Legion is next with 14 points on seven wins and five losses. Algoma Orchards follow with 10 points on four wins, two tics and four losses. Canadian Legion is in third place with four wins, one tie and five losses for nine points. Mercantile has eight points on four wins and six losses. Despite a four-goal out- burst by Ron Burns, Red Wing Orchards dropped a narrow 9-8 decision to Algoma Orchards. B/W Dominion Caulking take consolation prize The Brooklin--Whitby Dominion Culking Novice Allstars had i settle for the consolation ize in the recent Uxbridge Tournanent. The opening game saw them settle for a 2-2 dead- lock with Markham as David McWhirter and Bill Kelestine scored for the former and Marc Lyons and Gary-Allan for the latter. In the second game, they blanked Port -Ferry 8-0 as Colin Haisell recorded the shutout and David McWhirter scored five goals and Kevin Hicks, Steve Vandeburgt and Chris Lee one each.
