Non Collins and Lt. Ed Squires, when they made a citizenship trip of Ottawa last weekend. The Sea Cadets saw the question period in the House of Commons, visited Government House, the Royal Canadian Mint, the Canadian Aeronautical Museum, the War Museumi and the Museum of Science and Tec!-no!ogy. Citizenship is one of the things stressed in the Sea Cadet Program, and the trip to Ottawa was designed to show the cadets how government works. Mn. Cafik received the cadets in his office in the Confederation Building and explained the Parliamnentary systemn to them as well as answering questions. Mn. Cafik's office and the Department of National Defense aranged the visit. Free Press Photo Garden plots for Whitby residents The Mayor & Coun;Il of The Corporation of The Town of Whitby has approved as a pilot project this year, the establishment of garden plots for comrnunity use. The size of the lots wiIl be 25' x 50' at a cost of $15.00 per lot to the user. The land will be tilled by the town and water made available. The Recreation & Parks Department will manage this project. AIl requests wil11 be on a f irst corne, f irst served basis. If you are interested, you are invited 105 Coîborne St. E., Whitby.
