Several prospective candidates namnes have been nientioned for the East Ward, but no one seems definite as yet. The Ratepayers Association, as an Association, does flot support any candidate. Hopefully, each and every member of the Association will exercise the privilege to vote for the candidate of their choice. The East Ward is blessed with many people who care. This is one ward that seems to have more than a 25 per cent turn out at the polIs. No doubt we wfll have a new face on our local Council thîs year. Our Councillor for the past three years will be making a bid for a regional seat. The East Ward municipal forum will be held at Dr. Robert Thornton School on November 2Sth. You will have the opportunity to hear hopefuls for Mayor, Regional Council and a Local Representative. Mark the date on your calendar and plan to attend. Many changes will take place in the Corridor within the near future. It is important that the persons chosen to represent us in the future, do so for the benefit of ail the residents.
