Plan s begin 'forecarnival Plans are already under way for the i 2th annual County Town Carnival, to be held at the end of July. At the first meeting of the carnival committee fast Wed- nesday, the re was littie change in the lineup of officers. John Mclvor *was re-elected as 9-1eneral Chairman, and Jack Woodward as Executive Director. Assistant General Chairman are Ken Corner and George Heath, and Secretary- Treasurer is Mîldred Wood- ward. Directors are: Dorothy Heath, 'larry Sachet, Don Johnson,- Robin Lyon, and Lrian Winter. Five more directors will be elected at the next meeting, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the new municipal building. No decision has been made yet on the 1977 carnival theme. This matter has been deferred to the next meeting. J3oth Mr. McIvor and Mr. Woodward said last 'year's carnival was the most successful, despite the rain on parade day, and have hopes of branching out intoseveral new projects this year. A number of organizations have committed themselves to carnival projects already. The Kinsmen Club was given the go-ahead to proceed with the program and the parade, and the Lions Club hias com- miitted itself to the beer tent, a donation to the Carnival Queen, and a draw for a grand- father dlock. The Kinsmien are thinking of a 50-50 draw. With the number of' draws being proposed, the comrnittee hias asked that any organiza- tion conducting a draw inforni the comimittee s0 there will not be more tlîan one draw for the sanie thing. The Legion lias already in- formed the comimittee ir will raffle off a car.
