Wirriors eliiminated TheWhitby Warriors seiisont camie to an abrupt end on Sunday night when they lost the deciding game of their quarter-final series 3-1 to the Orillia Terriers at Iroquois Park. This was strictly a hanier series to that point as each tean had wvon the 3 garnes played in their own rink. The Warrîors completely dominated- the first period, withi an offensive barrage which was completely stopped by the acrobatic goaltending of Terriers' Clyde Harris. The Warriors might easily have cor-ne out of that period with a 3-or4-goal lead. The teams traded goals in the second period - Pet0i' Vipond opened for Whiitby at 7:18 thien Colin Gordon tied it less than 2 minutes later - With overtime loorning in the final frame, Ron Bobette got the winner with just under 3 minutes left. Then John Cook caught the press- ing Warriors for an empty-net insurance marker at 19:38. t was a better finishi for the Warriors, after they finished the regular season only 2 points out of first- place, and entering this quarter final as heavy favourites. The Terriers'now Advance to a semi-final series against Barrie Flyers. The winner of duit series then goes to the icague final against thie winner of thie Thunder Bay - Brantford series.
