SKETCHING TRIPS Whitby artist Harry Thompson is offering to take senior citizens on sketching trips and outdoor field trips on Sundajy morn- ings in July and August. TRIPS FOR SENIORS Summer timne iay be a slow time, but there is plenty of activity for senior citizens of Whitby. The Seniors Activity Centre on Brock Street South bas arranged a Thousand Islands trip for Wednesday July 20. The bus, whicli holds 48 passengers leaves the centre at 8: 15 a.m. Registration for this trip will be Jùly Il from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the centre. The fee is a low $7 per person, because the board of governors of the senior citizens centre is subsidizing 25 per cent of the total cost. The "Lady Kingston" Cruise Ship bas been chiartered for this occasion, for a two- and-a-hiaif-ho ur t rip t)roughi the shallow waters of the Thousand Islands. Trips planned for August include "Blue Mountain Pottery" in Colingwood, andi The Canadiani National Exhiibition in Toronto. Also in the planning stages is a Florida trip at $280 per person, which includes air fane, and two weeks' accommodation at the Hilton Inn, Clearwater Florida. The evening of July 12 there will. be a special "Florida Night" at the activity centre, where films wi11 be shown and further information on this trip will be available. NATURE TALKS The Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority will be conducting sticle talks and filin presentations at 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thunsdays, and Saturdays at Heber Down Conservation Area.
