MINOR PEE WEE On Nov. 13 at Brooklin Arena, Oshawa edged the Ladies' Auxiliary team 3-2. Whitby goals were by Gary Roberts and Dave Sachko. Oshawa got its winning goal with only one minute and 41 seconds left in the gamne. PEE-WEE NO. 2 On Nov. 12 the Mercury Auto Body teami shut out Port Perry 16-0 with three goals each by Chris Williams and Jolmn Schell, two each byý Tom Platt, Glenn Butler and David Gallaglier,and one each by Steve Goodchild, Kevin Tushinghamn, Steve Williams, and Glen Cane. On Nov. 14 at Stouffville Brooklin-Whitby defeated Stouffville 5-2 with two goals by Ron Magire,ý and one each by Wayne Crossan, Ron Mûlligan and Calvin Avison. MAJOR BANTAM Nov. 12 aI Iroquois Park, County Town fuels tied Polaris Restaurant of Oshawa 3-3 with goals by* Randy Taylor, John Fusco and Jim Forbes. MINOR BANTAM Nov. 15 at Broo klin Aré na the Optiniist Beavers defeated Lindsay 9-2 with four goals by Jeff Donaldson, two by Ed Svetek, and one each by Kerr Kngston, Kerek Kotyluk and Dan Garrard. MAJOR MIDGET Nov. 12 atIlrocquois Park Ferrco Engineering defeated Oshawa 5-3 with two goals each by Glbert Nieuwendyk and Wayne Middleton, and one by Ed Galley. Nov. 16 at Iroquois Park, Ferrco Engineering edged Lindsay 3-2 with goals by Wayne Middleton,Ed Hayden and Gilbert Nieuwendyk. MINOR ATOM Nov. 13 at Brooklin Arena, Brooklin Concrete edged Cobourg 3-2 with goals by Billy O'Meara, Greg Dewitt and- Blair Haslamn. Blair Haslamn got the winning goal with I minute and 20 seconds left in the gamne. MAJOR ATOM Nov. 133it»Brooklin Arena, 'Ajax defeated Brooklin Home Bakery 8-4. Jason Bruneau got three goals for Brooklin and Tom Clarke got one. JUVENILE Nov. 16 at Iroquois Park, the CBC's defeated Lindsay 6-3 with three goals by Rick Kay and one each by AI MacDonald, John Waddell and Save Seymour. NOVICE Nov. I13 at Brooklin Arena, the OPSEU Warriors lied, Lindsay 1 -1 with Blair Phillips getting the Whitby goal. There was no scoring in the first two periods. Whitby pulled its goalie and tied the game with only 25 seconds left, after Lindsay had scored at 10:08 of the third period. Sun Life Bonspiel is under way The Sun Life Invitational Bonspiel got underway on the weekend at the Whitby Curling Club with 32 rinks trying to qualify for the finals on Déc. 3. On Saturday, rinks skipped by Bob Charlebois of Dundas Granite and Ken Thompson of London's High- land Country Club qualified for First Event play and a shot at the $3,Û00 first prize money as they each won three gamnes. On Sunday, defending champion Jimn Sharples of Leaside and Com Davidson of Guelph each skipped their rinks to three wins and entry to the First Event play on Dec. 3. A SPIDELEPHANTMOUSE? Whtby Artist Carol Gabourie Cooper, who is holding a retrospective exhibition of ber works at the Frame House Gallery on Brock Street South, holds a drawing of a "Spid- elephantmouse," a mrature from one of several children's books she is working on. Her special interest is the magic of childhood, and she is particularly interested in illustrat- ing children's books. Mrs. Cooper's exhibition is in its last week,a nd ends at the beginning of December.
