She ia ,also survived by four grandchildren . nd three great grandchildren. The funeral was held April 15 at W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, Rev. J.A. Roney of Ai'Sints' Churcil officiat- ing. Interment followed in Union Cemetery, Oshawa. SOFIA JAWNY Sofia Jawny, of. 517 Brock Street' North, died, at her home April il at he age of 79. A daugilter of the late Stefan and Anna Pawlyszyn, she was born, at Densiw, in the Ukraine Feb. 14, 189, and came to Whitby from the Ukraine in 1951. She was a member of St. George's' Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Oshawa. Mrs. Jawyn's husband iwàn, whom she married, in the Ukraine In, 1919, died in' 1975. She is sruvived by two sons, Bohdan and Zenkoof Whitby; one daugilter. Mrs. Nick Luchka )antonia> -Of *Orilha; two brothers, Mike and Myroslaw of Ha'milton- Ontario; and two sisters, Maria àâd Katheryna in the Ukraine. Town Funeral Chapel, Whitby. ANNIE SLEIGHTHOLM Annie Margaret Sleight- holm, a resident of the Ex- tendicare Nursing Home in Oshawa, died at the Oshawa Genberal Hospital April 7 at the age of 72. She had been in failing hpil1th' for some Urne. A daughter of the late James and Annie Mac- Donald, she was born in Darlington Township Feb. 25, 1906., A former resident of 840 Green Street, Mrs. Sleight- holm worked at the Whitby Psychiatric Hospital for 28 years, prior to her retire- ment as a mailing clerk six years ago. She was a meni- ber of Ail Saints Anglican Church, Whitby. Mrs. Sleightholm is surviv- ed by one son, James of Whitby; and one daughter, Mrs. Delbert Hill (Betty) of Oshawa. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Alice Thompson of Bowmanville; two brothers, Harland of Vancouver and Bertrum of Bowmanville; four grand- children, five great grand- children, and one neice, Mrs. Helen Piper'of Bowmanville. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers. The funeral was held April 10 at W. C. Town Funeral Chapel, Rev. J. A. Roney of Ail Saints' Church officiat- ing. Interment followed In Groveside Cemetery, Brook- lin. If desired, contributions to the Canadian Heart Fund would be appreciated.
