Jim VanderEnde, the Whity Sea Cadets put on a display for the public in the, Henry Buildail parking lot on Brock Street North. Demonstrations included selections by the band, a &rMl display, and displays of sea- manship. Special awards were pre- sented to citizens of Whitby who have assisted the sea cadet corps during the past year. Mayor Jim Gartshore was presented with a plaque for the Town of Whitby, ini recog- nition of its support. Bruno Harilaid received a desk set for providing the sea cadets with a barracks during the past year, and -Robbie Buchanan received a trophy ..for helping on tag day and, throughout the year. Trophies were presented to the following Cadets: Best New Recruit, OC Michele Short; Best Division, the band, trophy accepted 'by Hospital meets The annual meeting of the Dr. J. O. Ruddy General Hospital will be held June 21 at 8 p.rn. in the hospital cafeteria. An elec tion of of- ficers for,1978 will take place at the meeting and annual reports for 1977 will be given.
