Twenty-eight of the pupils mee t for a regular practice each Wednesday'at noon. The pupils use top-quality Horner harmonicas which they purchased themselves, and the band is augmented by a drummer, Sammy Dodd, a grade 6 pupil who also plays a harmonica in the band. Sammy has been assisted in his efforts with the drums by his instructor Doug Swain, who operates a music store in downtown Whitby. The pupils have a reper- toire of several numbers and expect to play a t a number of functions during the school year.
