C.W. Lundy, A.M.C.T. Clerk Regional Municipality of Durham 605 Rossland Road East Whitby, Ontario Burned out Ajax students in Whitby sehools The recent three quarter of a million dollar fire at the Ajax High School robbed the students of classroom facili- ties. In order to have the Ajax students continue with their High School courses they are being bussed to various schools in the region. Some of the Ajax High School students are attend- ing day-long classes at the Anderson Collegiate and Vo- cational Institute, in Whitby. According to the Anderson Collegiate students the Ajax High School Students attend- ng classes at Ancerson "have not interferred that much with the School's regu- lar routines. All classes are as usual," commented an Anderson Collegiate Student. The classes-as-usual pro- gram does not include the Whitby Senior Public School. The routine has been changed in this school, to accommodate the Ajax stu- dents. The students at the Senior School go to classes earlier in the mornings and their school day is concluded at noon. A group of Ajax High School students is bussed to the Whitby Senior School for classes held during the afternoons. Mrs. Don Sibma, of Hop- kins Street, mother of Peter Sibma, a Whitby Senior Public School student said she has to be up earlier in the mornings in order to have Peter)eave the house to be at Scho6l on time for the earlier morning classes.
