Please watch for further details. Registrations are being taken for the Hunter's Safety Course being held in Brooklin on April 9 and 10. The Pre-school story hour and Afternoon group for adults will start a new session on Tuesday, April 10 from 1 to 2 p.m. Registrations for these prograns are being taken now. There is no charge and children from three years of age up to Kindergarten age are welcome. Ashburn Prominent physician Dr,* Geo rge Lindsay dies Dr. George Wesley Lindsay, one'of the founders j of the Dr. ýJ. O . Ruddy S General Hospital, and *its first chief of staff, died at the. SDr. Ruddy Hospital March 29 A son of th 'e late Edwin Lindsay and Edith Prentice, k he was born at Grand Valley, came to Whitby in 1946 and resided at 711 Henry Street. Dr. Lindsay served in the Royal Canadian Air force in the Second World War. Ho graduated from the sehool of niedicine at the i University of Toronto and S interned at St. Michael's V Hospital before coming to Whitby where he practiced with the late Dr. J.O. Ruddy until 1967, and since thon with Dr.- M.W. Butts. Dr. 'Lindsaywas a member of the Whitby Rotary Club, the Wbitby Curling Club and the Oshawa Golf Club. He w'as a charter member of the Dr. J.O. Ruddy Gene- raI Hospital Board of Gover- nors and served on the board for many years., Dr. Lindsay was alsoý the hospital's first chief of staff. Dr. Lindsay is survived by his wife, the former Virginia L. Lander, whom he married in Oshawa in 1941ýb' one son, Scott, of Orillia - one grand- son, Gregory Lindsay; and a brother Frank of Brighton. He was predeceased by one daughter, Joanne. The funeral service was held at All Saint's Anglican Church, March 31, followed by cremation and interment in Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
