In the Bantam Division, Steve Blaclçburn of St. John's School was the top boy, and Enver Carolissen, also of St. John's was top boy in the Midget Division. TYKE DIVISION In the Boys' 60 metre dash, Bill Heanley of St. John was first and Tom Brackenbury of St. John was second. In the 200 metre dash, Bill Heanley was second. In the Standing Long r Jump, Michael MacApacal of St. Theresa's School set a new meet record. In the long jump, Dean Alexander of St. John's cpme third. In the high jump, Nigel Bacquie of St. Theresa was second and Mike Macapago of St. Theresa was third. For the girls, Jenny Bickle of St: Theresa set a record in the 200 metrë dash: Geral- dine Irlbacher of St. John was second and Jodi Sheph of St. Theresa was third in the long jump. In the relays, St. John's was first with a new meet record for the boys and St. Theresa was first for the girls in the Tyke Division. ATOM DIVISION For the boys, Blair Haslem of St. John's School was second in the 200 metre dash. For the girls, Rhoda Carolissen of St. Theresa was·second in the 100 mètre dash and third in the 200 metre dash. Carolyn Dunn of St. John's was first in the long jump and Eleanor Herod of St. John's was first. St. John was third for the boys in the relays and second for the girls in the Atom Division. BANTAM DIVISION For the boys, Steve Blackburn of St. John's was first in the 100 metre dash and Roger Santiago of St. Theresa was second. In the 200 metre dash, The Whitby Builders lacrosse club moved to within two points of league- leading Oshawa Legion Green Gaels June 29 by defeating the Brampton Excelsiors 18-15. The builders at that point in the schedule had a record Roger Santiago was first, and Hubert McGuigan of St. Paul's School was third. Steve Blackburn was first in the 800 metre dash and David Gallagher of St. John's was third. Hubert McGuigan, was third in the 100 metre hurdles. For the girls, Shareen Herod of St. John's was second in the 100 metre dash, Theresa Dooley of St. Paul's was second and Rhonda Kelly of St. Theresa was third in the 200 metre dash. Theresa Dooley was also third in the 100 metre hurdles and third in the high jump. of 17 wins and three losses. They raced to a 6-1 lead in the first period of the game, at Brampton. At one point in the second period the Excelsiors trailed 7-6, but the Builders could not keep up the lead. For the girls, Jeanine Jones of St. John's was third in the 100 metre dash and the 200 metre dash. Sarah Barber of St. Paul's was second in the 400 metre dash and set a récord in the 800 metre dash. Karen Bibeau of St. John's was second in the long jump, Audrqy Huinink of St. Leo's Schoél was second in the shot put, and Sarah Barber set a record in the 1500 Metre dash. For the boys, St. John came second in the relay and St. Paul came third for the girls. 2 points of first place and three assists and Marty Gallas had two goals and five assists. Ken Colley had three goals, and Jamie Roach, Marty Gallas and Andy Perroni each scored two goals. Rick Byford, Lorne Briscoe, Ed Derks, Rick Nieuwendyk and Ah MacDonald each scored one goal. Roach and Nieuwendyk each had four assists for the Builders,·with Colley adding three, and Byford, MacDonald, Brian Reed and Kevin Branton having one each. The Builders were without four players for this game, John Jordan, John Parrott, Dave Clark and Blaine Harrison. Lorne Briscoe was eleva- ted fron the Whitby Juve- niles for this game and scored his first Junior A goal. The Builders took an.easy victory over the Etobiqoke Warriors, 27-10 at Iroquois Park Arena Thursday. Whitby was ahead 7-0 in the first 15 minutes of the game, and coasted until the third period. Whitby was leading 18-8 after two periods, and coach Chuck Lepine decided to mo- tivate the club by setting a game goal of 30-10. Midway through the period the score was 19-10, and Whitby put on a burst of, play to score eight goals in nine minutes. Goalie Briani Reed played for the final period, succee- ding Rob McLean, who nor- mally in a backup role, was being given some experi- ence. Cam Devine led the sco- ring with four goals and il assists, Ken Colley and Randy Gallas had five goals each, Rick - Nieuwendyk scored three, Andy Perroni, Ed Derks, Blaine Harrison and AI Macoonald had two each and Kevin Branton and Brian Colm scored one each. The Builders played Sa- turday in Windsor, and arr all-important game against the Oshawa Legion Green Gaels was played Monday.
