Insp. David Fleming, of the Durham Regional Police, said that Darryl R. Hurlburt, of Oshàwa was working in the garage part of the station when he saw the masked man approach, carrying a butcher knife. Hurlburt then ran to the front door, slammed it and the man ran north across Dundas, police said.
