The ceremony was held at Westminster United Church. The girls completed aIl the necessary requirements, including their Al-Around Cord. This marks the last such ceremony for the Canada Cordat the Guide level. It will be necessary for future recipienits to. be' in Path Finders before -tbey become eligible for the hoftour. Singled out for outatan- ding performance were the General Motors Parts and Service employees who have achieved 118 per cent of their target, and the Town of Whitby employees who have doubled their contributions from last year with 167 per cent of their objective. Oshawa-Whitby clergy have raised 96 per cent 0f their goal. Pegg commnended the GM employee contribution. With 58 per cent of the can- vas completed, tbey bave already acbieved 65 per cent of the goal with an 85 per cent employee par- ticipation. Ambulance Catis For the week that ended at midnight October 28, the Whitby Ambulance service responded to 78 calls for ser- vice. 0f these, 25 were routine cails, 35 were standy cails for other services in Oshawa and Ajax.
